Adopt a Poodle (Standard)

Poodle (Standard) Dog

Paris the Dog needs a home

Paris is a beautiful girl, both inside and out. She has the prettiest, silver/beige colouring you've ever seen and you'll lose yourself in her eyes. And her personality is excellent. She is fun, happy, playful, friendly, outgoing. Just about perfect.

Paris does have epilepsy and her seizures happen often, full seizures and mini seizures. We are working closely with her veterinarians to get her medication to a level where her seizures are better controlled but this is an on going process. She is now on phenobarbitol, keppra and zonisimide and we've recently increased her dosages. The neurologist is hopeful that the change will help get her seizures down to a lesser amount. There are other options too, but her care should only be changed one step at a time, so we're starting here. Thankfully there is a fantastic support group for people whose dog has epilepsy, so it's not so scary.

You need to know that her medications can be costly. Currently they are costing $400 per month but changes may come in the future that either increase or reduce this amount. There are support groups to help with expenses and SPIN will always be there to help. We are currently looking for a forever home, a foster home or a forever, foster home.

If you are interested in learning more about Paris, please email us to start the conversation. We'd love to introduce you to our girl!
